About Me

As much as I disdain an ego-centric website, I thought that one such as this would be good for marketing my talents. Please let me know if you have one of these too - we can put up networking links!

So anyway, what should I say? I'm a really nice person and pride myself on that, but of course I've made mistakes in my past. Like many others, I am grateful for those chances to learn and grow, as well as the ability to appreciate life and other people (and animals) on many different levels.

I live in my cute little house with 6 pets: two spoiled indoor kitties (Kilroy and Macy), one outdoor kitty (Ani, who's a wild hunter), an Australian Shepherd doggie (Leah), the crazy Golden Retriever/ Rottie pup known as Sadie, and a husband named Dan.

Although marketing my independent writing is my passion, I want to become an LPC. I have a Bachelor in Fine Arts and I am currently going back to school for a Masters in Human Services (Specialization: Mental Health).

So I'm also on those cursed (that's pronounced curse-ed) networking sites Facebook and MySpace as none other than "damnpixie." I'm also on LinkedIn. I really love reconnecting with old friends. I went to art school in Boston and then lived in Miami, San Diego, Los Angeles, Guadalajara, and Scotland for some periods of time. I've got family in Seattle, San Diego, and, well, here. I followed the wanderlust around a bit until I figured "There's no place like home" and settled down in a town near Charlotte, NC, near where much of my childhood was spent. My traveling days are far from over, though.
